After the events of the first film, Poppy and Branch discover that they are just one of six different Troll tribes, spread over six different countries, each dedicated to a different form of music: Pop, Funk, Classical, Techno, Country and Rock. Their world is getting a lot bigger and a lot louder, as a member of hard-rock royalty, Queen Barb, helped by her father King Thrash, wants to destroy all other types of music to make rock rule. With the fate of the world at stake, Poppy and Branch, along with their friends set off to visit all other countries to unite the Trolls.
