Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday held on November 1st and 2nd, during which deceased loved ones are joyfully remembered. Instead of sadness, it's a celebration of life. Families create colorful altars (ofrendas) with flowers, candles, photos, and their loved ones' favorite foods. They visit graves, decorate them with orange marigolds (cempasúchil), and believe that the souls of the deceased return to be together during those days.
